More About David

This spotlight features David Frances, V.P. of Financial Planning and Analysis, and 23-year employee of Centers for Dialysis Care.

A lifelong Ohio resident, David currently resides in Portage County and is a Kent State University alum with a degree in accounting. He started his career at Alcan Aluminum in Warren, Ohio, and then worked at Mount Sinai Medical Center in the budget department. Upon learning that Mount Sinai was closing, a former manager referred David to Centers for Dialysis Care. He interviewed with Diane Wish and Cheryl Winterich, and accepted a financial analyst position with the organization in 1997.

David’s familiarity with financial and accounting areas for healthcare made him a perfect fit for Centers for Dialysis Care. However, since David had no prior dialysis experience, both Diane and Cheryl taught him the clinical side of the business, helping him accomplish more in his job and making his role more gratifying. David enjoys finding ways to save the organization money or lower costs so the company can remain financially strong and continue delivering on its mission for patients.

He is impressed with how everyone has adapted to the difficulties of the pandemic and applauds the hard work, dedication and creativity of the people at Centers for Dialysis Care. David’s advice to new employees: “Do not hesitate to ask for help or guidance, as the people at Centers for Dialysis Care are a great resource.”

In David’s free time, he enjoys running and backpacking. He is also very handy and you will often find him working on cars, tractors, and DIY projects at home.

We thank David for his 23 years of service to Centers for Dialysis Care.
