More About Justine

This week we spotlight Justine Gates-Lockwood, medical secretary at CDC Shaker. Early in Justine’s career, she was living in Los Angeles and was responsible for transplant program statistics. She relocated back to Ohio to be closer to family, and worked at St. Luke’s dialysis program before joining the CDC Euclid family as the facility’s medical secretary. Justine recalls the excitement of opening the clinic with Dr. Lautman and was amazed at how fast the program grew. She truly enjoyed the family atmosphere of the clinic.

Justine recalls that one of her responsibilities included data input from the flowsheets. This is what led Justine to working at CDC Shaker. The flowsheets were piling up and the facility needed assistance, so Justine accepted the opportunity to join CDC Shaker, which was closer to home.

She truly believes in CDC’s “C.A.R.E.S.” values. As the seventh child in a family of 12, Justine was raised by women who cared. She states that a “patient is not a customer, but a client.” She loves making patients smile and seeing them happy.

With a unique educational background of education, psychology and biblical studies, Justine is also going on 18 years as a pastor for Messiah Ministries. The name Messiah came from her grandmother’s church in Detroit.

She is proud to share her milestone CDC anniversary photo with the previous president and CEO of CDC, Diane Wish, and the current president and CEO of CDC, Gary Robinson.

We thank Justine for 24+ years of service to CDC!
