Tempting Soft Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Tabsco (or hot) sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomato
  • 6 flour or corn Tortillas

Preparation

Brown meat, onion and garlic in a frying pan. Cook until onion is clear. Stir in seasoning and water; simmer. To make tacos – Place 1/4 cup of mat mixture into a tortilla. Add 2 tablespoons each lettuce and cheese, and 1 tablespoon each of onion and tomato to each tortilla. Fold to close.
